Observation - When a researcher veiws and records an action.

Online Survey - A survey that is sent, conducted, and returned all online over the Internet. Same as a survey just conducted entirely online.

Open Ended Question - Question presented to the participant that has no predifned answers. The participant answers the questions any way they want in their own words.

Open Survey - Open survey standards used across the industry to promote open sharing and uniform testing.

Opt-in - When a person chooses to particiapte in a study on their own. They choose to join.

Opt-out - When a participant in a study chooses to stop participating and chooses to no longer answer questions or to be contacted.
